by Russell Leadbetter
On the day of the Eurovision Song Contest The Hearld published an article in its magazine remembering the 1972 contest in Edinburgh. Referencing interviews given by the New Seekers ahead of the contest, the article quotes Lyn Paul as saying "Oh, it's important for me to win. I'd give anything for us to win... and if we don't I'll be so disappointed." For Eve Graham winning the contest was not important: "Personally it won't give me any great satisfaction to win. The satisfaction was in being chosen to represent Britain."

"I don't know how many years of performance experience the seven starring ladies have amassed between them, but their outstanding performances confirm it's A LOT.
Tanya Franks (Annie), Maureen Nolan (Ruth), Lyn Paul (Jessie), Amy Robbins (Chris), Paula Tappenden (Marie), Marti Webb (Celia) and Honeysuckle Weeks (Cora) each bring warmth and humour to their distinct characters."

Troubled Times For Eurovision
by Joel McIvor
This one-off publication included a photo of the New Seekers (pages 38-39). Oddly, it's not a photo of the group performing Beg, Steal Or Borrow at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh but a photo taken the previous year (1971) of the New Seekers performing Good Old Fashioned Music at the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium, complete with Lyn Paul holding her washboard and cymbal! Under the photo the caption read: "The renowned folk-rock act the New Seekers were chosen to represent the Uk in 1972".
