Prior to joining the New Seekers Lyn Paul had appeared on television as a young girl in early episodes of Coronation Street. In 1967 she had also appeared on Simon Dee's Dee Time (BBC1) with The Nocturnes.

The New Seekers made their first television appearance on The Frankie Howerd Show two years later, before Lyn Paul had joined the group. These pages list most - though not all - of the New Seekers' appearances on television in the UK and the USA in the years that followed. The show was described in the TV Times listings as "a highly unusual hour of comedy, song and dance presented by frantic Freddie." In an accompanying interview (page 31) Freddie Starr said: "Sunday's show is 100 per cent ad lib, but it didn't start out that way when we got in the studios. A few eyebrows were raised at first, but I went on for three hours and everyone was delighted at the end... Skilfully edited, I think it'll work."
