Solo Albums
Lyn Paul has recorded two solo albums, Give Me Love and Late Night. Lyn has also recorded vocals for the film soundtrack of The Dove, for the K-Tel album Hooked On Number 1s and for the Original London Cast recording of the Boy George musical Taboo. Lyn was also featured on a demo recording of the musical Alfie, which was never released.
Some of Lyn Paul's solo recordings have been included on compilation albums. Lyn is also featured on an unofficially released CD of a Cliff Richard TV show.
Lyn's verdict on the album? "I'm very pleased with it, because it is my first album," she told Ray Fox-Cumming, "Sometimes though, I think that my voice has become secondary to the arrangements and that's a pity because I think it ought to have been more of a singer's album." (Record Mirror, July 1975)
When he reviewed the album, Ray Fox-Cumming wrote: "There's no doubt that Lyn Paul has it in her to be a great performer. She handles any New Seekers material, of course, standing on her head. She can also make a fine job of a sophisticated ballad and growl her way through a savage up-tempo number." He was, however, disappointed by the album: "There's too little of the tigress, too little sophistication... On only five tracks here does she give of her best. They are: It Oughta Sell A Million, Love, He's Got A Way, Mellow Down and, best of all by far, I Could Get Arrested." (Record Mirror)

In 2005Lyn Paul began recording tracks for a new album with Rod Edwards, the Musical Director from Blood Brothers. The album was recorded in Ash, near Camberley. It features two new songs, Clouds and Dance With Desire, and new interpretations of ten old favourites - as Lyn put it in an interview with David Jensen: "some lovely old songs that have been given a new twist." (From The Bottom To The Top, Capital Gold, 20th July 2006)
In an interview for the Daily Post Lyn described the album as "a slit-your-wrists type of album - one very much for the ladies to settle down with a bottle of wine at the end of an evening." (Daily Post, 21st April 2006)
In addition to the Blood Brothers' cast albums of 1988 (with Kiki Dee) and 1995 (with Petula Clark), Rod has produced or played on albums for Gordon Giltrap (Visionary, Perilous Journey and The Peacock Party, among many others), Ralph McTell (Streets), Racing Cars (Downtown Tonight) and Renaissance (Songs From Renaissance Days). In the late '60s and early '70s Rod also released records as a member of the bands Piccadilly Line and Ashman-Reynolds, and as one half of the duo Edwards Hand. Nick Magnus
Nick Magnus is a composer, keyboard player and producer. He co-produced Late Night with Rod Edwards and co-wrote one of the new songs on the album, Clouds. Previous co-productions with Rod Edwards include the acclaimed platinum-selling Pan Pipe Moods albums for Polygram.
Nick started his musical career in early 1976 with the cult symphonic rock ensemble, The Enid. He spent the next two years with the progressive rock band Autumn, before beginning an 11-year working relationship, touring and recording, with ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett.
In the late '80s Nick did session work with a wide variety of artists including: Mike Batt, Cilla Black, Colin Blunstone, Duncan Browne, China Crisis, Classix Nouveaux, David Essex, Richie Havens, Johnny Mars, George Martin, Brian May, Mungo Jerry, Chris Rea, Renaissance and Bonnie Tyler. He has also worked with ex-New Seeker Eve Graham.
Nick has released three solo albums - Straight On Til Morning (1993), Inhaling Green (1999) and Hexameron (2004). Nick Pentelow
Three of the tracks on Late Night feature Nick Pentelow on sax. In the early '70s Nick had a taste of fame as a member of Roy Wood's band Wizzard, playing the saxophone on the albums Wizzard Brew (April 1973), Introducing Eddy And The Falcons (August 1974) and See My Baby Jive (October 1974). Since then Nick has recorded albums with many artists, among them Steve Gibbons (Down In The Bunker, Saints And Sinners and Street Parade), Elton John (Ice On Fire), Nick Lowe (The Rose Of England and Dig My Mood), Gary Moore (Still Got The Blues, After Hours, Blues Alive and Blues For Greeny) and Bill Wyman (Anyway The Wind Blows and Struttin' Our Stuff).

The Greatest Hits Of Lyn Paul
Lyn Paul
This album, released for download and streaming in January 2019 without Lyn Paul's knowledge or consent, features recordings made in the 1980s when Lyn recorded for the Crash record label. It includes the singles Echoes Of Love and Make The Night (and both their B-sides), the Future Primitive single Hold Me (mistakenly listed as Hold Me Tonight) and three previously unreleased tracks (Crazy Love, Cry and I'm A Fool To Want You).
Bizarrely, the album also includes four tracks* that were not recorded by Lyn Paul: Don't Stop The Music, My Love Is Your Love, Smile and When You Gonna Find Her.
Upon learning of the album release, Lyn Tweeted: "I AM NOT singing on some of the tracks and I know nothing about it. Certainly NO GREATEST HITS ON THIS ALBUM!!!!" (8th February 2019, 3:29pm). Writing on Facebook, she added: "I’m pretty fed up with companies releasing albums saying that I am on them when I’m not. It’s certainly not fair on the people that buy them."
On 17th April 2019, less than three months after the release of this album, a second and very similar album titled Best Of Lyn Paul was released for download and streaming. This compilation included twelve of the same tracks but omitted Stand By Your Man. In addition there were instrumental versions of I'm A Fool To Want You and My Love Is Your Love plus a recording of Wonderful Lover by another vocalist. The track that purports to be a 'Remix' of Make The Night is also by another vocalist.
A third compilation, Crazy Love: The Satril Years,
appeared after this. The final track on this 14-track compilation, Wonderful Lover (12" Extended Mix) is performed by another vocalist. Buyers beware!
Label: Satril, a division of Good Time Records
Note: Lyn Paul does not sing on any tracks marked with an asterisk. *
