Many of these contain the New Seekers' original recordings featuring Lyn Paul but many contain re-recordings of the New Seekers' hits by a later line-up. The German version of the Polydor LP The Best Of The New Seekers, released on vinyl, cassette and CD. This album was also released by Polydor as part of their Music for the Millions series. The Polydor albums were only released on vinyl and cassette, so the Motive CD is worth hunting out, particularly as it is the only New Seekers' CD to feature the song Eighteen Carat Friend.

Released over a year after the New Seekers had split up, this album included two of the group's beggest hits - I'd Lke To Teach The World To Sing and Never Ending Song Of Love - alongside four singles and two B-sides that had never before appeared on an album - Goodbye Is Just Another Word, Nevertheless (I'm In Love With You), Rusty Hands Of Time and it's B-side And So In Life (released as Peter Doyle's first solo single after he left the group in 1973), Song For You And Me (previously only available as the B-side of You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me) and the 'Keep Britain Tidy single We've Got To Do It Now.
At the time of the album's release, the review in Record Mirror commented "Despite many attempts by many groups, there still isn't really anyone who's managed to take their place. Until that happens, settle for this." (Record Mirror, 9th August 1975, page 19)
