For the first time on CD - the New Seekers' Polydor hits (featuring Lyn Paul and Peter Doyle) and the group's three more minor hits for CBS (featuring Eve Graham and Danny Finn). Piggy-backing on the classic hits, the 2009 line-up of the New Seekers added five recordings of their own. The album also includes a previously unreleased track from 1982 by Marty Kristian, Just Another Lesson.
It’s Been Too Long entered the UK album chart at number 17 and spent five weeks in the Top 75. Speaking to The Beat magazine in 2014, Paul Layton said: "to enter the chart so high was a real bonus. This was the week in which eight of Michael Jackson’s albums were re-released and all went Top 20, so imagine had this of not happened.”
